FAQ: Ordering, Shipping, General, Deals

E-mail: motojewelry (at) gmail (dot) com

ORDERING INFORMATION:
- Orders: see the "add to cart" feature on the bottom of each entry. This will take you to payment after you check-out.
- Preferred method of payment is by PAYPAL.
- Orders received but not paid for (I usually give you 2-3 notices) WILL be subject to a 15% restocking fee. This is based on the inconvenience to me and to any customers who may have wanted to purchase that item.
- No returns, no refunds.
- Triple check that the address listed is correct.
- Custom orders or alterations are made by EMAIL ONLY. Invoices will be sent out via email.

SHIPPING:
*Note: the shipping charges are worked into the prices in the drop-down menu.
Within the US: I ship USPS Priority; flat rate of $5.00. Please e-mail me if you would prefer a different shipping service (note: the shipping fee may be higher).
International: The same $5 flat fee applies; if the actual fee goes over, I will send you a separate bill for it. Priority shipping is available, starting at $14.00 and up.
Tracking: Available with an additional fee, upon request.
Insurance: Available with an additional fee, upon request.
Discount: If your order is $50 and above, you will receive a shipping discount.
LOST PACKAGES: Once a package leaves my hands, I cannot be held responsible for it. If you would like to replace your order, there will be a default $20 fee to cover supplies and shipping (priority shipping for domestic orders and insurance for international orders).

GENERAL:
- MODIFICATIONS: Yes
- CUSTOMIZATIONS: Yes
- LE/SOLD: I cannot make exact duplicates. E-mail me and we'll talk.
- Still have questions? E-mail me!

DEALS:
- Any order $50 and above will receive a shipping discount

- Returning customers will receive a 10% discount

- If you order more than one specific style of earring (or jewelry), you will receive a "bulk" discount. IE signature v1 earrings are originally $16/ea, but will become $14/ea for 2 pairs, $12/ea for 3 pairs, etc. Purchase of v1 and v2 earrings are NOT eligible for the discount.

- Any jewelry under the "2009" category will be discounted by 20% in the final invoice.

- On that note, please do not ask for discounts or try to haggle the prices! It is unfair to me and all of my hard work--or to any crafter for that matter. You don't ask for $20 worth of a $40 dish at a restaurant, do you?

more Holiday news!

You can all thank my boyfriend for this -- MotoJewelry will still be accepting orders for another week! He asked me why I wasn't accepting orders and.. after reconsidering my schedule for this upcoming week, I didn't know why either. Especially since he'll be gone for 4 out of the 7 days and I'll be sitting here, twiddling my thumbs xD haha ok, so not twiddling my thumbs-- I still have plenty to do-- but I'd love to make your holiday season brighter!

Plus, as I may have mentioned before, I've received some e-mails that have definitely made me smile and say "awwwww".. so, this is also for you sweethearts out there! :) I hope you know who you are. You definitely make my world a better place x3

On a slight tangent, I apologize for changing my cut-off times twice already (this being the third time). I know it's confusing but it's the first holiday season MotoJewelry has faced! Can you believe I only opened doors in April of this year? Time flies by so quickly! I'll definitely be more prepared for Holiday Season 2010, assuming I'm still in business *knocks on faux wood desk* (LOL).

After December 12th, orders will still be accepted but they may or may not arrived in time for the holidays (mainly referring to December 24th--since there's no mail delivery on the 25th!).

Purchase at your own risk; I cannot be held liable if your package doesn't arrive in time! I've established my holiday cut-off dates in order to allow the Postal System more than ample time to deliver your packages.

Express mail may be arranged for US orders, please include it in your e-mail. As for International orders, express/priority mail can also be arranged but be aware that it is not cheap. If no expedited mail is stated in the e-mail, I will send out your mail by regular Priority (for US) and first-class (for International).

The absolute LAST day that orders will be shipped out is December 19th, Saturday -- This means that I must receive final and complete payment by 9:00PM December 18th, Friday, Pacific time. I'm sorry, no exceptions can be made since I'll be on a plane heading to Texas early Monday morning!

I am still accepting custom orders, but ONLY if I have the supplies in stock.

Otherwise, any orders placed will not be shipped out until mid-January. But.. and here comes the possibly confusing part.. YOU CAN STILL PLACE ORDERS! This will expedite when your order will be shipped out when MotoJewelry returns in 2010.

I will try my best to answer each and every one of your e-mails through the break, but my responses WILL be slowed.

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me :D I know I tend to get a little wordy with my explanations. I don't bite! motojewelry at gmail.com

Thank you, and I hope you all have a happy holiday season!

Customization Process

My friend Carrie is an order in process.. she requested the shades on the bottom right, but as a bracelet and necklace set :) In order to customize your order perfectly, I can show you pictures of my bead cases and you can choose the beads yourself--and I also make custom purchases for beads that I don't have. FOR SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!

*NOTE: The bracelet shown in the picture is NOT FOR SALE.

NEWS: Mark your calenders!

Hey MotoJ'ers!
I figured I would post a few dates in regards to ordering for the holidays*. I apologize in advance for the inconveniences! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me; my e-mail is listed in the sidebar to your right.

NOV30; CUSTOM & INTERNATIONAL ORDERS CLOSED.
This allows time for me to order and receive shipments AND make your piece AND get it to you for the holidays*. This being said, after having a few orders fall through, I do not create your custom piece until I receive payment. Please note that "v3" and "v4" signature pieces (see FAQ) DO fall under this category.

Sorry in advance to my international supporters! However, to attempt to get your package to you by the holidays*, this will be my official cut-off date. About a month should be enough time, right? Please advise if you know more/better. I will ship later if you think it will reach you in time, however, I cannot be held responsible if your package arrives later than the holidays*. Expedited shipping can be arranged, but shipping costs will jump up exponentially; it's your wallet.

DEC5; MADE-TO-ORDER ORDERS CLOSED
My signature earrings "v1" and "v2" (see FAQ) are made to order. I'm open for customizations of this piece, AS LONG AS I ALREADY HAVE THE NECESSARY CRYSTALS! If I do not have the color you seek, I cannot accept your order as that would not give me enough time to both order/receive the necessary goods.

WHEN IN DOUBT, get your order in by or before November 30th! I would hate to have to put your order on wait list until the next year.

DEC10; ALL ORDERS CLOSED
After this date, MotoJewelry will NOT be accepting anymore holiday* orders. All holiday* orders MUST be received AND PAID FOR by this date.

I will try to post premade, "ready to buy" pieces up--but hey, I'm a busy college student, please try to be understanding.

DEC12; ALL ORDERS SHIPPED
This is the absolute last day that I will ship out any orders. This will give the post office system almost 2 weeks on US PRIORITY MAIL packages.. enough time, I should think. I would much rather your package arrive sooner than later :)

* MotoJewelry will be accepting orders for the upcoming 2010 year; however, all e-mail responses will be slowed, and orders will not be worked on until probably around the second or third week of January. I will update this blog as I come back from the holidays and general festivities :)

If you are in doubt of what kind of order you have or when you should place your order, send me an e-mail. I simply cannot stress (more than I have) that the earlier the better! I would hate to have to turn your order to the wait list because it was too late, and I cannot make exceptions for one person without breaking the rule for everyone--then my own life and school life will suffer. Please remember the artisan behind the work! We need time off and breaks too! :P

Thanks for understanding ^___^ and happy shopping!

FAQ: Color Confusion

My first FAQ! How exciting :P

So, in reference to my picture showing all of the different earrings on my lamp... the question has come about (a couple times) about whether I posted "monotone" twice instead of "monotone" and "eggplant".. and whether or not "eggplant" was actually the "purple" earrings on my lamp.

YOUR LONG AWAITED ANSWER! (haha, okay.. probably not long-awaited)

Here are some comparison pics between "eggplant" and "monotone/grey". Eggplant on the left.. grey on the right.. there is a veeeeeeeeeeeeery slight difference between the two. In bad lighting (since I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of my OWN jewelry.. go figure!) they look the same. In fact, when I was uploading the pictures, they looked the same.. and I had to double check.

The "purple" earrings on my LAMP.. are actually the blue ones (used in the "blue hues" section). For some reason, in different lights, it changes from light purple/lavender to blue.. and I have no idea why.

But since so many people seemed to really, really like the lavender hue.. I searched for an actual BEAD store (screw Michael's!) and found one! So I'm going to go tomorrow and find some PURPLE beads and make those earrings xD
