*it sure seems like it... I went into a WalMart before Halloween and there were already Christmas decorations up! GAH! Makes me feel like I'm behind on my shopping :P which is probably why they do it, grr.

Process + "Fruity"

In case you guys ever wondered how I came up with my color schemes... I decided to take pictures of the process. I was working with a friend on the color palette :) hi Nikki! if you were wondering. Otherwise.. I probably wouldn't have taken the pictures in the first place :P

Step 1: Deciding on the metal.. and the overall colors. Nikki said she was "color-starved".

Step 2: Deciding we liked the rose-y pearls... made it more tropical?

Step 3: Fine tuning, throwing in a brighter yellow.

Step 4: Finished pair, named: "Fruity"

Sorry for being so late! I didn't forget, I've just been so busy .___.;; but here's proof of the donation to AHA -- thank you to everyone who donated! I hope our money is the last bit they need to find the cure. Thank you for being so generous and helping out with your community!

In other news.... man, there's been a lot of talk about RED VELVET CUPCAKES.. especially on Twitter ;P not only did it make me crave it for about a month (which I satiated at the Whole Foods down in Irvine/Tustin area--cupcakes are so-so by the way!)... but I decided to make a bracelet in honor of the deliciousness.

I was allllll ready to go.. when I realized I didn't have any cupcake charms! And what's a cluster bracelet without charms? (; So I searched around my usual suppliers and no one had anything that really caught my eye... so I browsed around trusty ole' Etsy, where I found these:

Anyway, so I promptly snapped them up. Unfortunately, they have to be shipped to me from Abu Dhabi... which is basically across the world. BUT.. I did finish the cluster part.... so whenever they arrive, I'll snap these babies on and will be ready to post it up! Just thought I'd give you guys a preview of the cuteness to come ^___^

Donation Update

For the month of January~

MotoJewelry donated $55.00 to the Haiti Relief Fund chapter of the Red Cross!

I just made the payment a few minutes ago ^__^

Thanks to all of you lovely ladies!!

I hope to have another charity drive for every month in 2010! I believe it's very important to be an active part of the community and to help out any way I can.

For a few years, I went to basically every other Relay for Life event.. basically you go with a team, and at least one person walks around the track for the entire 24 hours that you're there. The walk symbolizes the day of a cancer patient. It starts off with a walk of Survivors.. and at night, there is a ceremony called Luminaria.. a remembrance for those who lost their fight for cancer. Everyone receives a candle and walks around the track.. paper bags are decorated for lost ones and a candle is lit and placed inside. It's a very touching ceremony and it's great to unite with other Survivors and others who have lost family members and friends. I believe there is a Relay for Life somewhere in the US, constantly. February's charity will be AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION.

Feb 14th-- Valentine's day. February is basically the "heart" month.

14% of proceeds from Feb 1-Feb28 will be donated :)

CLIP-ONS!

I've received a few e-mails regarding the fact you love my style.. but don't have your ears pierced. NEVER FEAR! I do special order clip-on earrings, and figured that I might share this bit of information with the rest of you.

I found a reputable seller who can provide me with high quality, 18k white gold or gold plated clip-on hoops (as shown above with the 18k white gold clip-ons on "Very Girly"). If you prefer a different style, just send me a picture of what you want--and we will work something out :)

Quick Update

Hey everyone! :)

It seems like I'm the last blog-jeweler to present new pieces for the new year.. I apologize! I've been caught up in my schedule and trying to arrange everything so that every little slice of the pie fits together... tedious work!

As per suggestion (thanks Elle!), I've opened up a new category (see left side-bar): FOR SALE

I will place items under that tag.. and as soon as they are sold, they will be tagged with "NFS" (not for sale). This tag existed previously, but under the name "PREMADE".. which was a little less clear. I hope this clears up any confusion!

If time allows, I would like to move MotoJewelry into more of a "catalog" format.. something to the effect of how Etsy or even Amazon appears. But for now, I think I'll start adding more pictures--different views, close-ups, etc.--to help you out when browsing.

I was hoping to get up some new pieces today but unfortunately I think I'm catching a cold... definitely a productive damper :( BUT I should be able to post them up sometime this week.

In other news...

All 2009 jewelry (under "for sale") will be discounted 10% and an additional 20% will go to REDCROSS.ORG to try to help out people in need.

Hello 2010!

Hey everyone! ^__^

I hope you had an awesome holiday season--I know I did!

I look forward to a brand new year in this handmade jewelry business.. and I hope you are still all with me; I definitely couldn't have made it through 2009 without all of your support! x3

On that note, if you have any comments, questions or suggestions, PLEASE let me know. This can range from a better way to organize my site, to what you'd like to see on MotoJewelry, or just to drop a line and introduce yourself :) I love meeting new people, especially in this blogosphere.. you're all just so sweet x3 I loooooove it!

more Holiday news!

You can all thank my boyfriend for this -- MotoJewelry will still be accepting orders for another week! He asked me why I wasn't accepting orders and.. after reconsidering my schedule for this upcoming week, I didn't know why either. Especially since he'll be gone for 4 out of the 7 days and I'll be sitting here, twiddling my thumbs xD haha ok, so not twiddling my thumbs-- I still have plenty to do-- but I'd love to make your holiday season brighter!

Plus, as I may have mentioned before, I've received some e-mails that have definitely made me smile and say "awwwww".. so, this is also for you sweethearts out there! :) I hope you know who you are. You definitely make my world a better place x3

On a slight tangent, I apologize for changing my cut-off times twice already (this being the third time). I know it's confusing but it's the first holiday season MotoJewelry has faced! Can you believe I only opened doors in April of this year? Time flies by so quickly! I'll definitely be more prepared for Holiday Season 2010, assuming I'm still in business *knocks on faux wood desk* (LOL).

After December 12th, orders will still be accepted but they may or may not arrived in time for the holidays (mainly referring to December 24th--since there's no mail delivery on the 25th!).

Purchase at your own risk; I cannot be held liable if your package doesn't arrive in time! I've established my holiday cut-off dates in order to allow the Postal System more than ample time to deliver your packages.

Express mail may be arranged for US orders, please include it in your e-mail. As for International orders, express/priority mail can also be arranged but be aware that it is not cheap. If no expedited mail is stated in the e-mail, I will send out your mail by regular Priority (for US) and first-class (for International).

The absolute LAST day that orders will be shipped out is December 19th, Saturday -- This means that I must receive final and complete payment by 9:00PM December 18th, Friday, Pacific time. I'm sorry, no exceptions can be made since I'll be on a plane heading to Texas early Monday morning!

I am still accepting custom orders, but ONLY if I have the supplies in stock.

Otherwise, any orders placed will not be shipped out until mid-January. But.. and here comes the possibly confusing part.. YOU CAN STILL PLACE ORDERS! This will expedite when your order will be shipped out when MotoJewelry returns in 2010.

I will try my best to answer each and every one of your e-mails through the break, but my responses WILL be slowed.

It's almost the holiday season!! :) I've definitely been feeling it.. sat around today and wrapped and wrapped and wrapped.. and ran out of ribbon (ugh)! Decided to see if I could spread the holiday cheer with this news:

I decided to extend orders until Dec 11th (one extra day!).

All orders will be shipped out Dec 12th, as planned.

I may be accepting a few custom orders -- as long as I have the materials on hand.

I've received quite a good response on my "signature v4" earrings... and I do have a pairs of "Amethyst" (warm-tone med/dark purple), "Sapphire" (mid-tone blue), "Crystal AB" and "Golden Shadow" heart pendants ready to be made into earrings--or whatever you want. Only one pair of each is available though, so send me an e-mail ASAP! :P

I'm also going to consider accepting orders for my other signature earring styles, the AQ necklace variations and maybe a bracelet or two.

E-mail me if you're interested [: the customization period will be severely shortened so either be very detailed with your request or have quick e-mail responses! Please note that International orders have been halted until the new year, and that I can only guarantee Priority mail packages to arrive by or before December 24th.

Hahahah, I have to be honest with you all.. all of these extensions and exceptions are spurred by the fact that I ordered and received a USPS Postal Scale... and can't wait until the new year to use it! I know, I'm such a kid sometimes xD but it's exciting for me!

Just as a reminder, all custom orders (special ordering supplies) for MotoJewelry have CLOSED.

International orders with first-class shipping have also closed.

Express mail may or may not become available, depending on how many requests I receive.

"Made to order" orders will be closed on Saturday.

This refers to my signature style earrings.

I was also thinking.. if there's a color scheme you want to see, request it in this post and I'll see if I can make something "premade" -- so it's not quite custom ordering ;) ya digg? I can't guarantee that I'll get to it, but if I have time and the supplies, it's a start.

Reorganization

Hey all :)

I'm not sure if anyone noticed (and if you did, I'm sorry for the inconvenience) but MotoJewelry went down for a few hours as I went through a pretty large reorganization. I've been wanting to for awhile and.. tonight just seemed like the night to do it (nevermind my homework LOL). I changed the blog URL to a different one so you guys wouldn't get spammed with the influx of new posts, as most of them weren't new items -- as you can see by the items that are NOW on the front page.

Basically, I'm going to be posting SINGLE ITEMS. No more batches! This way I can change the label quite easily ("NFS" for items on hold, "Previous Works" for sold items, etc) which will make it easier for YOU to browse around. The downside is the number of posts will increase.. but I think it's worth it if you can see more items as I'm making them, no?

On that note.. all items under the "PREMADE" section are going on a 'secret' sale! :) E-mail me with the piece you want, and I'll give you the new price. Sale goes on until MotoJewelry closes for the holidays.

I figured I would post a few dates in regards to ordering for the holidays*. I apologize in advance for the inconveniences! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to e-mail me; my e-mail is listed in the sidebar to your right.

NOV30; CUSTOM & INTERNATIONAL ORDERS CLOSED.

This allows time for me to order and receive shipments AND make your piece AND get it to you for the holidays*. This being said, after having a few orders fall through, I do not create your custom piece until I receive payment. Please note that "v3" and "v4" signature pieces (see FAQ) DO fall under this category.

Sorry in advance to my international supporters! However, to attempt to get your package to you by the holidays*, this will be my official cut-off date. About a month should be enough time, right? Please advise if you know more/better. I will ship later if you think it will reach you in time, however, I cannot be held responsible if your package arrives later than the holidays*. Expedited shipping can be arranged, but shipping costs will jump up exponentially; it's your wallet.

My signature earrings "v1" and "v2" (see FAQ) are made to order. I'm open for customizations of this piece, AS LONG AS I ALREADY HAVE THE NECESSARY CRYSTALS! * MotoJewelry will be accepting orders for the upcoming 2010 year; however, all e-mail responses will be slowed, and orders will not be worked on until probably around the second or third week of January. I will update this blog as I come back from the holidays and general festivities :)

If you are in doubt of what kind of order you have or when you should place your order, send me an e-mail. I simply cannot stress (more than I have) that the earlier the better! Hey all ;)

What's going on with me? Weeeeeell.. My boyfriend just surprised me with a trip-- up to San Fransisco! For a couple reasons: my birthday (earlier this month), our two year anniversary (today) and just because I've never been! What a sweetie :) :) I'm super excited to go!! Buuuuut this also means that MotoJewelry will be on haitus for about a week.

I'll be gone from the 27th until the 30th (Tuesday through Friday). We're bringing our laptop with us and we have free WiFi at our hotel, so I'll be able to answer e-mails (though not as frequently or fast as I usually do) and send out invoices/etc for orders coming in... but I'll be delayed with sending OUT packages.

All orders with payments received before this entry was posted WILL be shipped out on Monday (unless we've been talking about a custom order and I've had to order beads for you).

If I happen to receive orders and/or payments tomorrow, I will try my best to also ship it out Monday BUT I will be down in LA meeting Lady L and Wuzzy (!!) so I can't make any promises-- as I believe in quality, not quantity.
